Still Life--MA
My background is the black table which contrasted well with the bright pink and white flowers. My lighting is the lamp because it made the flowers brighter. |

Assignment #5 - Still Life -- KR
Self Portrait Still Life
F/3.1, 1/5 sec., ISO-800, 4 mm
In this still life I chose these objects to show the time of life I am in. I am currently planning my wedding. In this picture I have placed my veil, a bible, my engagement ring, and my wedding rings. I chose the black backdrop to help enhance the white of the veil. I used the flash of the camera and also some natural light to bring out the true colors instead of the colors affected by the lighting in the room.

Self Portrait Still Life
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/20 sec
Aperture: 3.5
Focal Length: 6mm
In this picture I picked 12 different items that represent myself and I put them against a cork board. I kept the items spear apart so that it was easy for the view to see what each item is so they can have a better idea of who I am. I placed the items directly under a light because I wanted the items to be as vibrant as possible. I like the cork board because that is what I usually hang picture and other things up on in my room, and I think it represents me as well.
A Themed Collection
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/60 sec
Aperture: 3.5
Focal Length: 5 mm
My theme in this picture is all American eagle clothes. In this picture I did not separate the items like I did in the last one. I wanted these items to be over lapping, I think it gives a greater effect to the fact that they are all one category. I also did not place the clothes directly under the lamp like I did the first one. I thought the colors of the clothes were warm and to add a greater warm effect I gave the image less lighting.
Transparent and Reflective Objects.

Aperture: 3.5

Luckily my favorite sun glasses fit the requirement of transparency. I set my glasses near the window on my bed so I could get the natural lighting in this image. The reason I put the sun glasses in my bedding is because I like the pattern, and the colors black and white in photography. When I took this I got almost parallel with my camera so that you could see my bedding on both sides of the lenses.
Background Added or Enhanced or Overall Image Manipulated

This is a picture of my glove and softball. To manipulate the background of this picture I changed it to black and white style. I left the ball yellow so that it would stand out in the picture. I took this picture in the sunlight. I placed in by a base and had dirt in the picture so that it represented softball as best as it could.
My Choice

I was lucky enough to see how amazing the rainbow was yesterday. You could see every color in the rainbow when we were out there. I took this picture as a panorama. I played with the lighting so that I could best display what I saw when I was out there. I am disappointed you can not see as much purple in the picture as we could outside but it is still a beautiful picture.
